The tiered rollout is a problem. If people decline it, move on and give it to someone who wants it.

What reality do you people live in?

Go to any pharmacy that received this batch and tell them that nobody wants the vaccine and report back your findings.

I just saw on the news that a freezer with the Pfizer vaccine failed and started to thaw. They had to quickly find people to vaccinate so as not to waste the vaccine. I would be very skeptical of the effectiveness of that vaccine.

Well, that's because you're ignorant. Being ignorant isn't your fault. Staying ignorant is.

Sounds like your state being disorganized on the vaccine "phases".

Mine is too.

You mean to say the government is slow and doesn't innovate... Say it isn't so.

I recall a lot of promise that the military would be involved in getting the vaccines distributed very quickly to everyone.

That was obviously not a promise that the current leadership intended to keep. It's a shame, really it is..

Pathetic hack.

I had to sit in my Jeep for 15 minutes after my shot to make sure I had no immediate adverse reactions

Had lots of time to notice all the nicely built men in National Guard uniforms there helping out.

It’s amazing that the federal government program was able to develop one as quickly as it did.

Not really. Sure, it is heralded as "amazing", but it didn't have to be such a triumph. Funding for Virology research had been slashed year after year after year by multiple administrations. The very experts that are leading the charge now spent those years begging for every bit of funding they were fortunate enough to get. Mind you, those same experts spent that time also warning of the dangers of a potential Covid-like Pandemic. No one in power listened. Fast-forward to today and the same people who didn't listen to experts are now all saying, "Trust the science!" and "Listen to the experts!"

In a country that wastes so much money on frivolous shite, it is a damn shame we are in the shape we are with Covid, and there are no excuses.

Texas....439,000 doses administered already. 254 of 254 counties already administered doses. But yeah, nobody wants it. You just hang around with idiots. And to the OP, this is how it's done. Blame your state for their failure to have a plan.

Some states are definitely handling the rollout better than others. It seems to be going pretty smoothly in Ohio so far, about 1.5% of the state's population has received their first dose. It looks like they are leaving it up to the county health departments to manage the distribution and as far as I can tell, pharmacies are not involved at this point.

It's going to get trickier to manage as the it is rolled out to the general population; the governor has not released those plans yet.

Sure, there is a first-wave that REALLY wants it. What is not happening is the second wave... People are ambivalent.

Nah, just people that don't want to be lab rats for a cure to something that isn't all that scary.

State governments were supposed to organize this.

Federal or state, both as usual found a way to screw it up. Healthcare workers and long term care facilities were scheduled for last week, yet some nursing homes aren’t scheduled until the end of next week. Don’t piss in my mouth and tell me it’s kook aid.

Then don't get it. Are you here trying to convince yourself of a reason not to get it. We don't care. It's your life. Lastly, anyone calling a vaccine a cure is an imbecile.

I understand it. I just disagree with the hyperbolic insanity that surrounds it.

If you didn't care you wouldn't reply. I just don't understand why everyone - like you- feels so dedicated to fighting for the idea that the vaccine is even needed. When the choice is the obliteration of American prosperity or some people die from underlying conditions that is no contest.

Christ, if I get covid and have a bad reaction I'll die. The end. Who fricking cares? I would rather my kids have a country that is worth a shite...
