Do you know where the brother lives? If you can get access to some meth go plant it at his house and make an anonymous call.

I'll tell you my story. My niece had a child she shares with a shitbag. The family makes up crazy stories to tell the judge about my wife's family who is probably the most righteous family I've ever met. They don't drink, don't smoke, my Brother in Law is a pastor etc. Well the other crazy family said my niece was abusing her child and it went before a judge. The judge couldn't really make up his mind so he decided to send the child to foster care for a month because nobody in the immediate family should have the child (who was 4 at the time). We immediately said we would foster her for a month. We lived 2 hours from all of the drama so the child wouldn't be exposed to nonsense. We had 2 extra bedrooms, an income over $200,000 and we wanted NOTHING from the State of Louisiana. We didn't want money, healthcare, food stamps, nothing. I made copies of my income taxes, took pictures of my home, the room where the child would stay, pictures of my family etc and sent them to the judge begging to let us take the child instead of some fricking stranger. We agreed to immediately take whatever course is required to become a foster parent and we would pay for everything out of our own pockets. The package was sent back to me with a note that said "Sorry the judge doesn't consider "outside" influence on any case and the child will go to someone within the foster system".

The system frickING SUCKS dude

Adoption is an answer all the way around. Bless your hearts. I wonder if you can talk to CASA? They are important in the process, and judges *usually* take their opinions seriously.

Fact....in every state......as good as FL's adoption processes are, judges still make baffling decisions.

When we adopted our son, his sister was still with the biological mom bc of a dumbass judge. I wrote Gov. Bush (he was Gov then), the head of DCS and the judge who wouldn't pull the sister out of the biological mom's home and told them that if anything happened to the sister all 3 were going to get a personal visit from me and I'd go national with the story......I fully expected the Secret Service to pay me a visit but it didn't happen and happily the sister is on her own now.

What does the brother’s criminal record consist of? There is a big difference in a front record and a DWI or marijuana arrest/conviction.

Good points.
It is odd and not in the best interest of the child.

It takes a special person to adopt children and I envy you and your wife for that. You are twice the man I am. God will bless you and your wife for the work y’all are doing.

I can't say it better so I won't try.

Sorry you're going through this OP.

That particular judge has a history of unfathomable decisions. She gave my sister's ex-husband domiciliary rights after my sister moved all the way to St. Francisville in what should have been an open and shut case.

The case worker informed us that at the 6 month mark they would change the goal from reunification to adoption and that the agency wanted us to adopt the baby and of course we were ecstatic.
So the state wanted you to adopt a child whose parents didn't willing surrender permanent rights to? You would be a giant pos if you adopted a child like that. I side with the judge on this one. That wasn't a blinding call. You screwed yourself.

Any woman that gives birth to a drug addicted baby should be sterilized. Then they should track down the daddy and do the same to him.

I sure hope it works out for you. Liberal Democrat judges are more concerned with making "statements" than doing whats right.

There are people out there that need to be sterilized as they are no damned good and don't deserve to have children.
