He was a noted blockade runner during the war, and worked at LSU for a number of years after the war.

They're banning To Kill a Mockingbird in many schools because of one word in it while completely ignoring the actual anti-racism message

Thank God!!! I thought about getting a job and being a productive member of society several times. And then this GD statue screamed at me to go home and wait for my government check. I can finally get a job now and not be a leech on the working class!
