You can always request annexation after incorporation.

Not unless other properties annex first, my property wouldn't be touching the revised boundary.

I am pretty confident my neighbors (that are outside the city limits) would also be on board.

Kip Holden was just enough to hold people over.

She has sunk the ship.

It's going to be like Jackson anyway, no need to take the entire parish down with it. Hopefully something like St. George will be there to step up and take the lead.

No it wasn't.

Because of LSU and a much, much better downtown. Downtown/Beauxregard Town and Southdowns have had good momentum lately. This will pull the rug out I think.

But again, I understand why people are doing it. They're fed the frick up.

Exactly, Fed up with crappy schools, crumbling infrastructure, high crime, and a racist mayor and her cronies blaming white people for the city's problems, yet expecting them to pay for everything. St. George will be Broome's legacy.

Yep

People will tell their grandkids about the openly racist mayor that led to St. George being created.

She will go down in Baton Rouge infamy

One term of her won't be enough to completely sink BR, but if she's re-elected, it's all over.

I question how the incorporation of St. George is going to make Baton Rouge better.

i Don’t believe the point of St. George is to make BR better.

That's what it says on the image in the OP.

If her performance doesn't motivate Baton Rougians to vote, nothing fricking will.

I don't live there at the moment and I wish I could come home and vote against her next election.

It will keep people from leaving EBR Parish and moving to Ascension or Livingston parishes.

You have poor reading comprehension. It was a monumental effort on his part and even with him being a good mayor and putting forth so much effort, it was still just enough.

Batman was just enough to beat the Joker, doesn't take away from Batman (I'm laughing at my own analogy)
