Seems like a DC thing. Everyone I know that has served some politour shite there talks like that at least a little, and/or Adderall over-medicated.

The few South Africans I’ve met did this.

I’ve noticed recently saying ‘Yeah Yeah’ a lot when asked questions at work or other. Now I’m noticing people say the same ‘Yeah Yeah’ to me. I don’t know if I got it from them, they got it from me, or we all got it from somewhere stupid like the Kardashians.

Uh, yeah. frick… I don’t… what’s the angle?
Posted on 7/9/23 at 9:37 am to TutHillTiger
It was a lot of ‘uh-huh” after everything too.

I can handle yeah a lot better than "like" used a thousand times in a conversation.

When coonasses ask a positive question, they say "Yeah", after a negative one, they say "No" at the end.

If it was good enough for yeah yeah off the sandlot, it’s good enough for me. Yeah yeah

I've lived in Lafayette my whole life. No one I know who is from here does that.
I have noticed a lot of people who speak Spanish as a first language do this. We have an Engineer with a Ph.D. that does that except she says "Yes?" like a question.

It's proven to be a masterful way of speaking for one Charleston White, the voice of reason black Americans need but don't want to accept.

So my gf’s oldest son is 12 and says “right?” after everything he says. It drives us insane. We’re trying to get him to stop but he does it without even realizing it now.
“Paul Skenes throws really hard, right?”
“Wow, John Wick just blasted that guy, right?”
“That was so funny, right?”
“That’s a really good song, right?”
Why and how did he pick up that vernacular?? Do all kids do this?
