Kids aren’t in school during the summer. Here in Birmingham, a lot of people leave early to get a jump start on their weekend at the lake. I imagine people do the same for the beach or their fish camps further south.

During the fall, I’ll definitely see a spare crowd in the office the Friday afternoon before a big game (or used to at least).

I think you’re ultimate point above is that your prefer the fall to the heat of summer. To that I say, no shite. Though there are those that don’t. To each their own I guess.

Where do you work? Most office people in Baton Rouge work half days on Friday. Unless you work for some government entity.
