I tend to find that leftists are less likely to comprehend the consequences of their actions compared to those in the right.

The psychology of ideology is pretty fascinating.

Thomas Sowell documented this well in A Conflict of Visions, and the follow-up The Vision of the Anointed.

One side is better at focusing on intended consequences. The other - likely consequences.

Nah, I just don't want your unvaccinated arse taking up a hospital bed I might need for a heart cath.

And you wouldn’t need that if you weren’t a fat tub of shite. Anyone who is fat lecturing the unvaccinated about their health better invest in a mirror.

if we’ve learned anything from COVID, tribalism knows no bounds. We’ve got posters celebrating thousands of people losing their jobs over vaccinations while our economy sputters.

maybe when more are forced to decide between their pocket books and “safety” from a virus with minimal fatality and hospitalization rates in terms of a pandemic.

Firing unvaccinated health care workers will definitely help that situation

Once you realize that the people who claim to be concerned about the health system being overwhelmed are the same ones passively or actively accepting of this policy, it's time to disregard that red herring.

And i hope we all wake up one day and realize just how sensationalized the COVID-19 pandemic was considering the hospitalization and fatality rates.

No argument there. The difference is I haven’t turned my whole life upside down because some neckbeard podcaster convinced me this was the “hill to die on.”

Unless you do die, then maybe it was a bad decision.

criticizing dumb decisions and precautions is the same as turning one’s whole life upside down because some neck beard podcaster convinced them to?

another great take.

We definitely have more freedoms than some poor schmuck in China.

Save for the Uyghurs and Tibetans, nope. We’re a nation of privileges and we currently have more privileges than they do that are being stripped by the day.

I was watching some CNN YouTube clip this weekend and some clown on there called Tucker Carlson a "white nationalist". I started thinking about it and I think maybe calling him "literally Hitler" might have been the better move.

It was none other than Jim Acosta who told Andrew Yang how dare you go on a program like Tucker Carlson’s. I’ve heard nothing but kind things about who Tucker is on a personal level. As for who Jim Acosta is on a personal level, I’ve heard nothing but horrible things about him from all sides of the aisle.

at what the cost to society is our government willing to sacrifice, so they can ensure Americans are ‘safe’ from COVID-19:

Economy, fricks given
Spike in suicides, why do you care?
Increased government overreach, excellent.
Further dividing society, that’s fine
Unnecessarily torturing children, no worries.

Let me know when any meaningful statistical quantity of people die from all of the vaccines combined.

You really are an enigma to people here. All the typing, all the raging, all the attacks, and they still haven't wrapped their minds around your schtick, much less your actual political leanings. It is always fun to watch.

ETA: It really is interesring to see the "side" you're supposed to be on hate you as well as the "side" you're not supposed to be on. It really does depend on which way the wind blows.

This board loves to put people's politics into neat little boxes, and when someone's posts don't fit into the box they've put that poster in, they short circuit and accuse that poster of lying about their views on that topic, or call them disingenuous, etc. It's usually the same handful of posters.

That's golden coming from the party of law and order. Let's talk about the war on drugs. Let's talk about the evil immigrants coming to steal your jobs and rape your women. Let's talk about actually believing democrats are eating babies at a pizza parlor....
