Bad, unpopular opinions have always had backlash. Society is constantly changing and that is part of it.

Sorry you can't say bigoted, ignorant shite anymore without repercussions.

Should we start identifying racists and have them wear yellow stars similar to the below?

Everything he said was ignorant because he made it about the military. It's been explained countless times what the purpose of kneeling for the anthem was. He showed he didn't want to hear that and make it into his own thing.

I'm as liberal as it comes for tigerdroppings, and while I understand and agree that it was a bad take, in no way can it be labeled as bigoted.

Insisting that it is doesn't further any legitimate progress to made made on these issues. This is a very dangerous aspect of the left.

You can absolutely state your opinion because it aligns with the left.

This isn’t new. The only change is who is in control.

Go back 50 years and have someone say, on live television, that they are an atheist who is in favor of interracial gay marriage.

Can you tell me with a straight face that this person wouldn’t face significant repercussions for stating their opinions/beliefs?

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. But i also think being shallow minded, naive, or absent minded with that opinion plays a role in today's society.

In terms of Drew standing for the anthem, cool bro. Do you. Not taking that from you. And you don't have to agree with why Colin or others kneel. But just try within your own to be understanding as to why people kneel. Even Lebron James said he won't kneel HOWEVER he understands why others kneel and supports Kap's stance.

Should Drew have been hated by what he said or made to feel bad to where he needed to apologize, no. But maybe, imo, his delivery was off. Either way, stand by what you say. And if people dont like it or you after that, then that's on them to deal with. I dont have to like you anymore because of it but thats my choice. Least you were real with how ya feel

That's the goal, to have a one sided conversation.

Lol. Brees was a dumbass for saying that right now. He’s smart enough where he would probably tell you he had a lapse in judgement. The engine is running hotter than a boiling kettle, you don’t just grab it bare-handed

Wasn't the interview with Yahoo Finance? They probably got him to give a few "aw shucks" lobs up and were baiting him for some out of context quote they could damage him with. Because obviously the white man is the devil.

I would love to see Drew Brees and Lebron James have a one-on-one televised debate on the matter.

I wouldn't. They'd have to play by two different sets of rules. James would have the ability to say whatever he wanted, while Brees would be maligned for anything he says.

Brees has NOTHING to gain from that arrangement. He's white and therefore he'd be DOA.
