I like how they point out that he is black, like that makes him some sort of expert on injustice and the psychology of microaggressions.

This is a perfect example of where lines get blurred when blacks talk about race discrimination. If someone makes a rule against hip hop clothing, that means they don't want that specific subgroup in their establishment. Not all blacks fit the hip hop scene and to put a broad label that hip hop equals blacks is overstating. Many black people are let into these bars. And many white people have been turned away for the same reasons the black people have. This article was dumb back in the 90s and it's still dumb today. I hope the bar owner doesn't give in to this crap. Our society has lowered its standards time and time again. Pull your pants up or you don't get in should be a hard line in the sand if you ask me.

Agreed. Same crap has been published for what seems to be 15 years in a row
