The reputation that cats have for being clean is just false

The notion that cats are clean is a pre-germ discovery mentality. Sure cats sit there all holier than though and look down there noses at dogs who are admittedly filthy creatures but that doesn't dismiss the mountain of evidence against cats being unclean creatures either. For one, their liter box is a cesspool of fecal matter. They get kudos for being house trained but walking in and out of the litter box is a strike against cleanliness. Secondly, again kudos for the effort, they do clean themselves but it is by licking themselves. The mouth is a reservoir for bacteria. So forgive me if I don't recognize licking yourself as a form of cleanliness. Third, kudos for the depopulation, their favorite pass time is hunting birds and mice. Two species known to carry all kinds of diseases. Four, kudos for low maintenance, they often drink out of the toilet. Not exactly a germ free zone there kitty. All in all they get kudos for the PR campaign but the truth is they are no better than dogs!!

I have a cat and it is legit dirtier than my dogs.
Example: every day when I get home it greets me outside by rolling around in the dirt.

At least they don't eat the litter box feces like dogs do.

What...if...I told you...that the water in the toilet...is the same water that is in the....wait for it...sink /mindblown

One question: since you think it is the same water, would you be willing to dip a glass into your toilet and take a drink?

what kind of cat drinks out of the toilet? mine drinks out of the sink
also, my cat goes outside and shits in the yard and then covers it up instead of eating it like a dog.
dogs are dumb creatures with way too much energy

my cat sits and waits for me in the driveway every day and then follows me around the house when im home. if hes inside when i get back, he always scurries his fat arse up to the door to greet me even if hes mid nap
cat saves kid from dog attack

Rebeloke is mad online. I've never seen a cat drink out of a toilet. In fact, it seems pretty difficult logistically.
My cat doesn't go outside, pees and shits in one central location, and generally minds her own business. You gave a lot of kudos for an animal that you apparently don't like.

I let my wife in on that little secret a few years back. She freaked the f...ck out. She thought it was separate.....like there was another line or something especially for toilet fill-water.
