Did Floyd ingest all the fentanyl because he was about to be arrested? Was this dude about to die of an overdose anyways, or did him getting confronted by the cops force the action?
I’m genuinely not sure whether this is sarcasm.

In that case in 2017 when the 20mm settlement was paid, the cop was convicted of murder and manslaughter charges fwiw. So doesn't necessarily mean he will get off.

If Chauvin had of let the belligerent Floyd out of that position, and then something bad happened anyway, wouldn't Chauvin be criticized for that?
One of the most logical things I can think of is that they prop Floyd up to sit Indian style against the car. (I think it's called indian style where your butts on the ground but calves are crossed) What if Floyd then started banging his own head against the trunk of the car in a rocking motion, then fell over unconscious anyway. Then the critics are going to say,
"well you knew the ambulance was going to be there in 3 minutes why didn't you just leave him where you had him? You knew 15 minutes ago he said over and over he couldn't breath"
When the best you’ve got is “maybe he would’ve banged his own head against the car til he died” then yea, I would say that’s a safer alternative for the guy that actually did die

To avoid going through a court case. They would pay to fight it, then pay the family in some capacity. Someone more than likely ran the financials and it was probably cheaper.

Let go of emotion, and focus on the facts that are relevant to the charge.

to think that police do not treat known miscreants differently is naivety at its best

You mean the fact that the tapes show the known criminal eating fentanyl as he is evading the police and refusing to listen to them.
quote:
“Combined with sickle cell trait [and] his preexisting heart conditions, Mr. Floyd's use of fentanyl and methamphetamine most likely killed him,” Nelson wrote in an Aug. 28 court filing that unsuccessfully sought dismissal of the charges against Chauvin, which include second-degree murder

Where did George get the counterfeit $20.

It took damn near 25 minutes to get him from the driver's seat into the back seat of the squad car. I think the police showed a lot of restraint to Mr. Floyd.

The reason for the payout was his attorney Crump. Same guy behind the Trayvon Martin HOA payout before the Zimmerman trial. They make a huge political stink cry racism and stage some riots for the payout, nothing more. It is an exact formula. Divides our country on race and should be stopped.

Did you eat lead paint off of the short bus?

I dont think the powers at the city care at this point. They had their PR move by arresting DC. In the court of public opinion, they did their job. The city also knows DC will walk a free man, and sue the city. They will pay him off, too
100%. Aren’t politicians good stewards of tax payer monies? Yet the feds need to pay local governments cash now in a “Covid stimulus package”.
If ever in doubt vote for the person that is NOT a life long politician. No matter the letter next to his/her name.
