I’m a fricked up puppy. Don’t get me wrong I fully enjoyed and took advantage of this messed up world and the people it produces. But something in me wishes it wasn’t so.

I have no issue with it, at all. My objection was to the assertion that it was a guarantee.

Damnit.
Nah, 28 going on 21 is what most would probably say.

I'd say if you are dating women 32-35+ it will be fairly common. There will be a lot of divorced women in that age group.
I thought that I'd never get married at age 23. I was adamant about it actually. Didn't quite work out that way for me

As someone single in their 30s, nearly ALL of the women on the dating sites like bumble/tinder, etc have at least 1 kid by my age. Even if the child isn’t in the first picture, you can usually tell who has a child just by looking st the first picture.
I’m sure each one has their reasons but I have zero want to be a step dad or start seeing a girl with a child and have to deal with baby daddys, crazy families, etc.
I’ll probbaly just be single the rest of my life.

You play the hand you are dealt at the table you are at. At some point you have to either accept that the perfect is the enemy of the good and steal some happiness where you can. Or you can keep on looking for unicorns.
I don’t blame the guys that find wives 10-15 years younger without all the baggage. It’s how we are designed honestly.

I grew up in a small town and when I return home there was always a dumpster fire. It’s like the people recycle through relationships. This friend is now with this friend and I would be like I thought she was with him. Rinse and repeat every time I went home.

If you go back, the post referenced step parenthood, not divorcées. The person who posted it got knocked up in high school and has two or three kids with as many men, which I’m sure will come as a shock to no one

If you are reasonably well-off, and take care of yourself, you can pull women 8-10 years younger than you.

I’m 25 and the dating pool at least for my age in BR is getting thin. Couldn’t imagine the 30s scene

How old is your stepdaughter if you don’t mind me asking? I had a daughter when I got together with my new wife.

Can’t you go younger? I’d assume single guys in their 30s with no kids would have easy pickings.

Damn, REALLY?! I hear guys here in BR say this, but they’re all 30-35.

Are you trying to find women at the same professional level?

Assuming you aren’t a frickup, aim for the ones just coming out of med/law/graduate school.
