Right, I agree. I have ancestors who owned slaves, but I wasn't even a twinkle in anyone's eye at that point in time so I don't see why I need to feel guilty about something that is entirely outside my control. My ancestors owned a bank and lost everything giving away family land to compensate people who lost the money they deposited with the bank during the great depression, so it's not like I'm sitting on a pile of slavery riches.
What I'm referring to is Oregon's government, which has its own history and is still in existence and still in power. So it's much more like if you did something racist or shitty a few years ago and felt bad about it - you'd go apologize.
Honestly, my feeling is that there aren't very many people in Oregon who will qualify, and this is a vanity project for the person who proposed it. But, with all the wasteful spending we have at every level of government in this country, if it makes Oregon's black population feel better then go for it. I wouldn't turn down money if the government was just giving the shite away.
Beyond the reparations argument, I'd always rather my government find a way to put money in the pockets of working class folks who could use it, rather than helping some billionaire build a stadium they could easily fund with private money.

1. Racial Hate speech no longer exist
2. Racial Hate crimes no longer exist
3. Racial demographic data is no longer collected or reported by the government.
4. Any and every government-sponsored plan cannot carve out any race nor preclude any race.
5. advertising race and conjunction with political office is illegal.
6. Paying any form of racial or demographic reparations to anyone is forever forbidden after this.
7. A signed proclamation from everyone who receives payment for themselves, The people they are guardians of, and their lineage.... That from this date forth, any failure is 100% on them, their family, and their personal lack of drive.
8. There is no such thing as racially derogatory names, they're just synonyms.
Anything else that you would need to see before you say "okay sure, then pay that"?

Oregon is 76% white, 2% black. Yes, 2%. Theres 78,000 black people across the entire state of Oregon. Sounds pretty racist to me. Instead of trying to buy off the minuscule AA population, I think the white devils in leadership should offer up their plantations to POCs. And not just those currently living in Oregon.

This shite is so fricking stupid and actually creates racism. It makes me hate fricking idiots doing this. Its not even a race thing. It is a class thing. Kids that are being brought up in families relying on government assistance will have an equally hard time making it through life regardless if they are white or black.
