Strangely enough, the Black population in Oregon will jump from 150 to 2.75 million in the week after this is approved

Yeah, and you'll also see a similar jump in crime rates. And the Oregon government will have no clue why.

This may be a dumb question, but how does one prove they are a descendent from an American slave?

People like getting government checks in the mail and they will continue to vote for people that promise more of them.

Aside from the sustainability of it all, how can taxpayers stop tax takers from getting voted back in?

I have no issue with paying my fair share for national security, infrastructure and a few other things, but not something like this.

Was wondering the same thing, especially with a lack of records on slaves in general. Most did not have birth certificates, so I’m not sure how you prove that you are a descendant of an American slave

Has anyone pointed out that Oregon entered the union in 1859 as a free state and there has never been a single slave owned in the state of Oregon?

No....they think you're racist bitches.

Most of the hard core racist are up north and out west where they live in segregated communities, but they call folks in the south racist who basically all live among each other, whites and blacks. On top of that, they all move to the south, to the horrible racist south.

If you had the reading comprehension of a third grader you would've read the rest of my post, which answers that very question.

So, how exactly did the $123K figure come from?

Seems a bit random.

I've argued and argued. You can't win with the left.

Some of those same folks I've argued with are the most awkward when around others not like them.

I pointed that out. Oregon wasn't going to be a slave state but they weren't allowed to stay.

Don't even have to be a free-loader. You know what I could do with a free 100k? I'm not passing up that type of money at all. I'd gladly find work in Oregon and still collect the 100k.

This doesn't look like you can just identify as black and move to Oregon and get $123k per year.

It looks like a total amount of $123k in the form of an annuity, AND that you have to have lived in Oregon for 2 years and be able to prove that you are descended from an American slave.

I would imagine a lot of folks would have a hard time going back and proving that there were slaves in their family.

It's true that Oregon wasn't a major slave state, but it was founded at least in part as a white utopia, so they've probably got some things in their history to apologize for.
