Thought everyone else on the OT was a baller? Why can't you baws tip a couple bucks?
Becaise I believe you will buy booze with it! I just want to get from my car to the office without being confronted by the decay of western society! Plus I’m cheap!

Maybe you should take you and your fatass wife to McDonald's. Or better yet, come meet me at Sonic, you little bitch. That way you can stuff your cocksucker with some cheap burgers after I stomp a mudhole in your arse.

This relentless tipping nonsense is stupid.

Watched a 90s movie and an older gentleman is chastising a young adult that 10% is standard but you should give 15% for excellent service.

The image starts at 15% and goes to 1/4 of the cost + tax. Insane. Custom tip 10% unless you get a hj with your meal.

I saw a picture where a couple workers put up a sign that said "DO NOT TIP, IT GOES TO THE OWNERS" or something along those lines. I feel like that is probably what's going on at a lot of these places.

Only places I tip are sit down restaurants where the server makes $3/hr, and hosts/hostesses who put together my Togo orders, bartenders and Uber drivers.

Not tipping anyone at a fast food restaurant because they frick up everyone's order no matter how simple.

I agree with everything you say here Dawgfan. Every place that happens to serve food isn't tip-worthy.

I look at it like this; if all I have to do is sit down and order my food, I tip. Even then, I tip based off of the service I receive.

I waited tables in college, so my idea of good service is probably a bit more strict than most.

If you’re paying a $35 tab, $5 more for a tip isn’t going to break your bank.

I have a hard time understanding why people stiff.

You sound just like I'd expect someone married to a bartender to be.

Why is there no option for “just the tip?”

Try harder being an OT baller and tips are just chump change. Hell sometimes I pay for the guy at the pump next to me 100 bucks if he fills my car up for me after I put in my credit card info.

Anything where they just ring up my order up is a flat $2 tip. I.E. Willy's/Moe's where they shuffle my order along and put in a max 5 seconds of work.

Unless you're hustling to bring me my drink, plate, etc. then frick off with a % based tip.

We need a "just the tip" option for the good looking waitresses

15% of $12.93 is $1.93. Are we tipping based off the tax too?

This is the bullshite. Those quick tip add ons when paying with tablet do the tip based off the total with tax.

Tip list:
Barber: $5
Coffee: $1
Bartender: $1/drink(unless its a fancy place then maybe more)
Waiter: 18-20% of price of food not including tax
Valet: $5(honestly I dont know. I forgot the last time I used valet)
Delivery: $5(same with valet, I just never do delivery)
Take out: $0
Counter serve: $0

I went to a Chinese buffet recently. Food was pretty bland and mildly warm. I won't be going again just for that. I spent about $18 and paid upfront at the register. When I sat down, there was a woman cleaning tables who went to get my drink. All the "waitresses" do there is clean tables and get drinks. They might decide to pick up your empty plate when you go back to get more at the buffet.

Anyways I still had the receipt on the table (customer copy), and when I was finished eating, the waitress brought me fortune cookies. She then proceeded to circle dramatically the word "tip" on my customer copy receipt, and left a pen there.

I left without giving a tip. These workers are glorified busboys or busgirls, whatever. They don't actually wait on you. Plus, I was pretty offended that broken-English Hispanic girl essentially was demanding a tip for filling up Dr. Pepper a few times. I wonder how much she is really paid, or is she a slave?

There’s several local companies in BR who did the same shite when I worked at Dempseys back when it was on Jefferson. One person would come in with everyone’s money/cards and they’d do all individual tickets. Not a single dollar left on any of them.

I cannot imagine. If I was in charge of getting lunch for the office, everyone would have an automatic $1 tip added to each tab.

I've always left excellent tips for good service, even when I was a broke college kid. These apps asking for a tip every time I buy anything at cashless vendors are breaking me of that. I'll mash that no tip button in a second.

I just identify as black when it comes to dining. Nobody ever questions my tipping or lack there of.
