Was the story true about the brothers first starting out and selling the coolers out of a van?

Painfully overpriced for a micro-brand but that is the way now.

Rolex case sans crown guards and "Oyster" bracelet took a lot of imagination.

The brushing looks horrible in their pictures.

I usually see a lot of value in most micros but I just can't see it here

Well...that's that (no sarcasm)

I don't remember ever hearing that, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true, especially when they were targeting smaller retailers.

I remember seeing them in smaller shops around Austin back in the day, and then got to know a few people over there - they were all great people and they had built a really good culture. I don't know anyone over there anymore (at least I don't think I do), but by all accounts the culture is still great - even after the PE money has taken over.

I know most everyone on here bashes what they do, but the products are good and they keep their people happy. If you don't want to pay the prices they charge, then don't buy their products, but bashing them because of their prices comes of as petty and envious.

That is so 2012. Watches are trending smaller now, at least away from the 44mm+ range. There are a lot more sub 40mm watches being made now than 5 years ago.

Thank goodness. I can see the utility in a large diver or other utilitarian watch, but I find my 37mm field watch is the perfect size. Would feel like a goon wearing anything larger than 41mm.

Why need a watch when you have a smartphone that tells you everything? I mean it just tells time? Also I bet it is heavy as hell.

Since YETI is trash, I assume these watches are trash as well.

To be fair Yeti makes great coolers. They’re vastly overpriced, but they’re still great coolers

There are times when it's more convenient to glance at your wrist than pull your phone out. But more than that, a fine mechanical watch is a tiny work of art that you wear. It's ok if that doesn't appeal to you. Art is a very subjective thing. It does appeal to some people. No woman needs expensive jewelry and not all women care for it. Some women like the look and how it makes them feel. Same with men and watches.
