Hitler sent his top general to the Russian theater, and the dude croaked while there. He never really found someone who could replace the guy, despite attempts.
German Army were spread too thin. Inner circle in Berlin knew things were imploding, but Hitler had trouble taking that kind of news.

Technology and logistics were such at the time that we had the advantage of having an ocean between us and them. Things are easier to defend when you take the fight to your opponent's back yard. At that point that bastard has to go on defense.

How close to developing a rocket capable of hitting the U.S. were they? One topped with a nuclear warhead would be a game-changer. They were already hitting England with V-2s.

They were working on a long-range bomber. The design was a flying wing similar to the B-2.

Hypothetically, if by some wild chance we had been defeated and occupied, most of us would not be here to speak shite. A number of our ancestors would have been given the "Nazi gas shower" due to impure genetics. Jewish, blacks, Chinese, and Native Americans would most likely have been wiped out in this country. The same could also be said for a number of whites who did not meet "genetic" criteria.
Then again, I am not even sure if he would have been interested in North America. He might have settled for Europe and Asia.
Let's just be thankful that we got to that bastard to the extent that he offed himself. At least in that case, we'll never have to find out what would have really happened if everything played out. It was horrific enough as it was.

Part German with blue eyes. Did have blonde hair when I was a kid but now it's dark brown so I'd be safe

Brit with blue eyes and blond hair as a kid, although that darkened later. I would have been safe, but would have worked up a German accent to be safe.

It wasn't as high of a priority for Hitler as it was for us. Guy was going off in some interesting directions that frustrated the living shite out of his Generals. If they by some wild chance had prevailed, it would have been in spite of him. fricker was turning into more of a liability during the last third of the war. It got apparent that the SS was running things. Fortunately, things went to imploding.

Veering off a little, but staying with the general topic, have you had the chance to view the movie "Conspiracy"? Movie was based on the surviving transcript of the meeting to finalize the "final solution."
Lot of dynamics going on in that movie. Ever been to a meeting where the outcome was already determined and you are wondering why you are there other than to rubberstamp it?
Watch the mood of the room when General Heydrich announces how things are going to be as to the "final solution".

That and they lost their heavy water facility in Norway to our sabotage. It took an enormous effort on our part to build 2 atomic bombs. The Germans were a LONG way from theirs, simply not enough resources committed.
