A woman I know from New York was working in Arizona for a few weeks. Every day on her way to work she would pass by a Native American man selling jewelry, as she passed he would raise his hand and say "When". One day she stopped and asked why he said "When" every time she passed "I thought you guys said How". The man looked at her and smiled and said "I know how, I want to know when."

Sorry old corny joke from my childhood.

Italian American, but appropriated the NA culture and lived practically his whole life as a NA when the Irish were hanging the Italian immigrants from trees in New Orleans because they were coming in taking good Irish jobs for less money.

Sound familiar.

NA tribes had notoriously low birthrates and were big on adoption. If you lived among them and lived by their customs, you were one of them. Around 25% of the Cherokee were Anglo and up to 1/3 of Comanches were Anglo and/or Mexican.

BTW at the time of The Trail of Tears, the eastern tribes had mostly adopted European customs. They spoke English, lived in houses, and wore clothes indistinguishable from yheir neighbors.

It's funny because "Iron Eyes Cody" was an Italian-American (Espera Oscar de Corti) born in Kaplan, LA.

Italian American,
Can't get anything past you. That was breaking news in 1985.

What is a Native American accent, anyway? I can't think of one, and didn't they speak all kinds of different languages so the Sioux would have a different accent from the Navajo, who would have a different accent from the Inuit?

Also, we lost LucasP for this shite.

That's not why the Italians in NOLA were lynched.

When the comparison is made against an effeminate British voice, I'm sure it sounds different.

Who is a native american?
Surely not the peoples that crossed the land bridge into the americas long long before the Europeans arrived. They just took the land long before the peoples that are her today and certainly they are in no way native to this continent.
