Kind of ironic that when the NFL teams go to England, they will sit/kneel for the anthem of their own country, but still stand when the anthem of England is played.

Seems like the players are woke in my opinion. They realize that the United States rebelled from England for small taxes on stamps and tea without representation and now NFL players' salaries are taxed at over 30%. I would want to be annexed with England again too. At least they fund a healthcare system with their tax dollars instead of useless foreign aid an wars of tyranny.

I honestly don't really care. I still watch the Saints. I don't watch as many other games as I used to due to all of the new rules and penalties that simply make the game less entertaining to me. Politics being inserted just annoys me, but it's nit going to change my viewing habits.

Let me ask you this. Do you remember the pride you felt when the national anthem was played for the first time at Yankee Stadium and the tens of thousands screaming "USA USA USA" after 9/11? Along with other stadi around the country? I remember that. If it's just a stupid song, and a huge waste of time, why did so many feel so much pride when it was played after such a terrible event?
Well simple of course, because that song doesn't just represent a country, it represents an idea. And that idea is freedom. The freedom afforded by our form of government. Perseverance that is only possible in a democracy.
These idiots are protesting the very country that provides them ability to mount such a silly protest. They are morons who would perish in a truly oppressive country.

Cause millions of people died for our freedom under that flag and anthem. Highest paid players in world disrespecting it. To you blacks it's not about you and what u think. Not one of these players are asking for the anthem to stop being played. I barely think the majority of progressives want a stop to the anthem. This is just more mass hysteria bullshite by low IQ right wingers "they want muh anthum, muh flag, muh statues, muh confederacy!!"
