The thing that gets lost in conversations about Kaepernick is that he was an ineffective QB for 3 of the 5 years he played. Part of that had to do with SF collapsing, but I always thought he was overrated. You know, from a football standpoint and all.

Baltimore had a contract prepared for him, but pulled it in the 11th hour due to tweets made by his racist girlfriend.

I also find it funny that some people think Trump really gives a shite about the NFL.
He hates the NFL and is still pissed about the 1 USD award in his law suit against them in the 80's.
The owners are definitely feeling a lot of pressure over this.

And you think CFB will survive? It is going to get squeezed from both ends, bro. The combination of (a) declining incentives (from NFL salaries) and (b) shrinking player pools (because fewer parents and school districts will allow it) means that CFB won't have any players left.
That is what's about to happen. Give it 10 years.

Oh, make no mistake, the game will always exist in some form. There's a reason why guys choose to play in the CFL and Arena football leagues, just like there's a reason coal miners choose to take the risks they take. That's why it's so funny, they're protesting themselves into smaller pay checks

he doesn't. He made some separate comment (non-anthem) while speaking in Alabama where everybody supposedly only cares about college football. It was also apart of his rant that stirred up this shite (at least for today/tomorrow)??
he made a comment about players being ejected after a hard hit and how he thought it was lame. That happens in college football and not in the pros. In the pros you get flagged and most likely fined. In college you could be ejected from the game and then sit out part of the next game depending what half the foul occured in.
the crowd just cheered anyway without any thought.. a bunch of Roll Tides were probably bellowed too. But hey.. if its a shot at the NFL and a plus for college ball who cares right?

I've learned in this thread that a large portion of our society hasn't a clue what the 1st Amendment is about.
Hint: It precludes the GOVERNMENT for taking action against speech. Has no bearing on individuals or corporations taking action against speech they disagree with. Yes, corporations can fire you for saying stupid shite!
