That's exactly my point. Sponsors and tv contracts aren't going anywhere because people want to watch the nfl minus the outraged idiots on this board

The NFL doesn't truly operate in the Free Market. They operate under Anti-trust laws.
Spaulding, I don't believe the NFL is going away. But I do think the owners could possibly change their position and start requiring its employees to stand for the NA.

This will not happen. The shite this would stir would be 10x what it is from these angry dolts. An owner would commit career suicide forcing an athlete to stand for the anthem and thus silencing their protest

Kapernick is better than many 2nd and 3rd string QBs that are currently under contract in the NFL. Owners decided his distraction is not good for business

It is very interesting to see conservatives go anti-football and liberals go pro-football. If anything, it usually breaks down the other way.
Anyways, my take is that football will eventually die (or at least change so much that it is unrecognizable). But this won't happen because of the take-a-knee protests. It will happen because of brain trauma, lawsuits, and declining viewership stemming from changes to the rules.
I, for one, welcome these changes, especially at the major public university. It is high-time ADs are reigned in a little bit -- they have become semi-autonomous entities with little real connection to the university.
