Beginning with Trevon Martin. The kid did nothing to deserve his fate, but the national media hammered us with this story over and over...and fanned the flames.

The media almost immediately started looking for similar stories to lead their broadcasts, and stories involving police shootings became a must have on the news. Police shootings in South Carolina, Missouri, BR, Minneapolis, etc., while troubling, should have remained local/regional stories and nothing more.

Domestically and internationally, Obama and his liberal cronies have made things worse than I can remember. And I'm not a young guy.

Trump scares me as president, but as time goes by Hillary looks like a far worse alternative.

Yep.

They have treated BLM with kid gloves since it's inception. Hell, none of them even address the bold faced lie that is "hands up, don't shoot".

They have allowed this organization to perpetuate a myth that has lead to the deaths of 8 officers.

So is the media also responsible for all the school shootings that took place after the columbine shootings?

Were they also to blame for the terror attacks that took place after 9-11?

Twitter, Facebook and all social media bear as much or more responsibility for the current state of the nation than traditional network media. Social media has given a platform for a bunch of racist morons to spout their BS and organize "against the man". It's sad to see what our country has become.

I believe the President is far more to blame than is the media.
The media will just spit out what people are willing to watch. There's left leaning media in MSNBC and right leaning media in FoxNews. They've got separate audiences.

However the President should be leading and insisting on stopping the shootings instead of pushing his agenda. Today was the first time I have heard him sound really sympathetic to officer lost lives.

So amazing how quickly the media narrative makes people forget.

Who decides the news and what is newsworthy? I ask myself all the time because "they" hold the power.

The media knew their target audience was as dumb as a box of rocks, so they went "all in" with their propaganda. Their target audience took the bait.

I can only hope all of this wakes America up and a Republican president is elected. People need to see how fricked up things are.

I think it's just another avenue for people to express their sentiments good or bad. Racist seemed very organized before the Internet was invented.

Incorrect.

Get out in the communities in North Baton Rouge and engage the other community and show them you are willing to break down barriers.

That's when we will all finally start to move back to equality and being a part of the HUMAN race.

Thank you

I've been saying this.

They try to make everything a racial war.

Some situations are the result of incompetence.. not always racially motivated.. and many are justified actions from the police.

They just love stirring the pot up and further dividing us.

You do. If it didn't bring in ratings it wouldn't be news.

Call it what it is: cable television, social media like Facebook and Twitter. To say the media paints with a broad brush. There is a hell of a lot of other media with a lot of credible reporting if you're willing to do just a bit of looking. The 24-hour cable television talking heads shouldn't set the news agenda but they do. For now.
