It really is motivation for me to workout. I'll watch 600lbs life. The majority of shows I'll actively avoid though. Last man standing has a throwback feel to it and I'll keep that on.

Masked Singer kind of reminds me of an old reality show that was a spoof of American Idol. The intent was to use a panel of phony judges to convince these bad singers that they were good or had potential. The judges gave harsh criticism to the contestants who auditioned and were good.
But the producers knew they had a problem when they had to do a show in front of a live audience because all those people wouldn’t go along with the gag...or would they? They told the audience that the contestants were in a Make A Wish program and wanted to sing to a cheering crowd once in their lives before they died. It worked.
Masked Singer might have started off as a contest to find the best singer but now it seems like one big troll. And I like trolls.

Nah. They would have actual good singers on the show if that were the case. Gronk was on the show. Only reason he lasted as long as he did is because he was entertaining as hell with his Vanilla Ice schtick. As soon as he picked a shitty song, his goofy arse was gone.
They have legit music artists competing against actors or Instagram hoes. It's not a singing competition. It's a guessing game.

I still watch it, it sucks this season. Wayne Brady and Chris Dautry got a lot of people hooked because they were so good last season.

Its simple entertainment. What is so hard to understand about that? You watch to figure out if you know the singing voice behind the mask. Throwing around guesses can be pretty fun.
Don't look at it too deep. The show doesn't take itself seriously. So neither should you.

It has never been a singing competition. It's just a giant guessing game. Freaking Patti Labelle, a multi-grammy winning singer didn't even make the top 5.
One could definitely say it's all a giant troll. But that is what makes it funny. fricking Sarah Palin went on the show, and it was definitely not to show the world that she could sing.

If you take away how terrible Nick Cannon and the judges (and their guesses) are outside of Robin Thicke, it's not too bad.

I had to watch the first episode with my wife when it started, it was one of the worst hours spent in my life. They literally have 4.25 minutes worth of actual content, and they have managed to stretch that out into a full hour of people talking to each other trying to guess who is in a costume. Truly embarrassing that I live in a country where this is a prime time show.
