This is a list of all the stores in the Mall of La.

Some of these people are being so dramatic. It's on par with any other mall that is still open.

And I bought several different types of popcorn, as small gifts for Christmas. Kids love the nerds popcorn...

Wow. Thanks. Was reading posts about Cortana Mall and how one should take a trip back to reminisce. Did just that. What a blast from the past. Wife and I really enjoyed this. I remember back in the eighties my mom used to drag me in there about once a week. Good stuff.

I'm from Alex and I went to Dillard's up there a couple of months ago. I walked about 150 feet past Dillard's and it was a wasteland.

How much longer can that place stay open?

I noticed the same thing, but what's interesting is that it's still kept up very well. Still well-lit floors cleaned and waxed, music playing air conditioner blasting, the one out of 10 stores that are open look fine, there are just no humans in there! It's like the whole place went through an alien abduction.

My gf and I went to the Dillard's clearance store in Cortana last Sunday. I posted a thread about the trip, but the moral of the story is there was only 11 stores opened. 3 more were simply closed on Sunday.

We then went to the MallofLa. It was packed.

The bottom is a glorified flea market. Damn near every store is a shoe store or sells shoes.

Pierre Bossier Mall has 9 shoe stores with hats and jerseys

I had a coupon for a free plain pretzel at Auntie Annies and it was good.

I think I told this story in this thread, but my mom told me awhile back she went to Cortana looking for something specific she couldn't find anywhere else. She was i one of the department stores and they had something she was looking for but she couldn't find her size. She said the smallest sizes they had available were way to big and she asked one of the ladies "do yall have these in smaller sizes?" the women told her "we cater to the size of our clientele"

I don't know if you're on reddit but check out r/deadmalls

Some of those malls are well designed places, but online shopping and Wal Mart killed 'em.

This website exaggerates everything. I was at mall of Louisiana in June and it was as packed as ever.
What is the reason why people like shitting on things by obviously lying about it to accomplish the goal?

The idea that The Mall of Louisiana is depreciating in any way has always been a weird phenomenon on this board.

Went last month and there were quite a few stores that had shut down.
It was still in good shape compared to Cortana or Esplanade but it’s certainly not near as nice as 5 years ago

I judge a mall by how many carts selling cell phone cases it has.

I quit going to anything at the Mall of Louisiana except the Apple store and Dillards. It began years ago, when I was no longer able to walk down the main concourse without some booth owner jumping out at me trying to sell me the garbage he was hawking. I felt like I was walking through some bazaar in a third world country. That shite will not fly with me.

This is why you don’t see new malls being built. The latest concept is the setups such as Juban Crossing where parents don’t drop their kids off like they do at the babysitting mall area.
I still can't believe that is more popular than an air conditioned mall.
