I like to leave my house once. I generally shower after my workout.
My backpack has my laptop, either a gi, swim trunks, or some workout clothes, change of underwear, a pair of sneakers or lip flops, various chargers, my headphones, my breakfast, a few snacks, any bills or items i need to mail, a few knives, a towel, soap, deodorant, my razor, tooth brush, shaving cream and tooth paste, and whatever books im reading.

I keep all my chargers, laptop, misc stuff in mine. It's more efficient, and I be honest I prefer the backpack look to a should style laptop bag. Those more often than not fall off my should when I bend over or move to fast. The backpack is secure and comfortable.

They do make backpacks that don't look like some Jansport you were carrying in HS/college
They even have some that you can carry like a backpack or messenger bag. You can hide the backpack straps in the bag.
