You would think from our media hundreds of blacks were lynched daily or weekly
Are you really trying to deny this country's history? Does it help you sleep at night?

My great great aunt was murdered by a white guy in 1881 while pregnant. They sent a possee after him to GA and hung him in cragford and put up a memorial under the tree where he hung. Guys skull is still at the funeral home in eastaboga

There were also some Italian immigrants strung up in Tallulah in 1899 and some Italians were lynched in St. Charles Parish that nearly led to a war between the US and Italy.

They didn't go far enough. If you are going to go that route, you need to pull them out, root and stem. That means a few bodies. Within a few years, mafia was back stronger than ever since they were too nice

The mayor at the time was very anti-Italian. He was elected by the reform wing of the Democratic party and Republican voters. Italians, for the most part, supported the old guard Bourbon Democrats. This guys called Italians "white n*gg*rs" and said they were filthy people who were the lowest of the low.
When Hennessey was shot, he supposedly whispered to one person "Dago". This was enough to give the mayor the excuse to call on his voters to "teach the Italians a lesson".
They rounded up a couple hundred who had nothing to do with the killing. Two of the people eventually charged were merchants who happened to work near the scene of the shooting. They were acquitted because most of the "evidence" written about by the press was either incorrect or fabricated.
The lynching wasn't just done by some angry dock workers or cops. The who's who of New Orleans was on the scene observing or participating in the murders.
The aftermath brought fears of war between the U.S. and Italy (which was still fairly new and still very nationalistic) after Italy broke of diplomatic relations. The incident introduced the word "mafia" into the national lexicon.

That turned out well.
The mob subsequently ran the city for the next 70 years.

Pretty much the heyday of New Orleans as a prosperous viable American city.

Off topic, but if you put a hard copy of that newspaper in the hands of an American today, what do you think would happen?
