What do you guys consider low carb? Just curious.
I stay around 60-80g most days. But I'd consider 120 low carb compared to a "standard" diet.

And? What do you mean and? It’s current material.
Based on old science. Surely you get his point, right?
Is Harvard a good enough source for you?

For years, fat was a four-letter word. We were urged to banish it from our diets whenever possible. We switched to low-fat foods. But the shift didn't make us healthier, probably because we cut back on healthy fats as well as harmful ones.

If scientific statistics haven’t changed, then it’s still relevant, correct. Surely you get my point as well, don’t you?

They have. You are just stuck on outdated material.

I don’t count carbs or anything, but I try to limit myself to 2 starches per day (I don’t always stick that that).

When I started Keto I was trying to stay under 30 carbs a day. I lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks.
I did it because I needed to try to drop a few lbs fairly quick, and I have a very demanding job, with little time to exercise currently.

Glycogen is stored in your body attached to water molecules. You essentially lost water weight and perhaps a few pounds of fat.
Glycogen is produced from Glucose and other carbs. When you limit you carb I take, the water won't bond to your glycogen stores and you "lose weight."

Kinda, but glycogen stores only account for 5ish lbs of water weight. The rapid weight loss in the first 1-3 days is depletion of glycogen and its accompanying water. This is why people say oh you gain/lose weight right back when you start/stop eating sugar again..
People losing 30 lbs in 6 weeks on keto is roughly 25ish lbs of body mass changes, unrelated to water.

I usually don't pay attention to them. Hell, I average three or four servings of fruit by lunch.

Yeah, they have way more in common than they think.

I don’t think they’re preachy and intolerant, they just lack self and situational awareness
I’ve had quite a few people chirp me for “all those carbs” or “all that sugar” but I’m in 10x better shape than them. People get into keto and think they’re health and wellness experts

Keto vs flexible accounts for about 90% of the board

I rarely eat carbs and had a sandwich at a work meeting and it made me feel like shite. My body can’t even digest that shite anymore and I have never felt better.
Lean meats and vegetables ftw
