In Florida, each county clerk of the courts will be begging more money from the state due to loss of money too.

they will automatically ensure collection more money by taxing installation/purchase and upkeep/calibration of the device than they could dream of by doubling expenditures for DUI enforcement efforts. also they will still be able to enforce DUIs for other intoxicants like weed, which will become the new version of alcohol DUI. it will just shift costs of alcohol DUIs at a premium to the general public.

I agree. Too many of our citizens value perceived safety over freedom but they will lose both over time.

If perfected, I see no problem with this and would support it

Would you support GPS-linked governors that only allowed you to go the speed limit of whatever street you’re driving on? I don’t drink and think this is a stupid idea. People will just get someone else to blow for them.

I know MADD supports this, but I bet police and sheriff’s unions will quietly oppose this.

bullshite, it probably will have an auto call to a local sheriff who gets to arrest you for attempting to drive while under the influence.

The amount of people that want to live in a nanny state just blows my mind.

Relax pussies. It’s not like any of you broke fricks are buying a 2026 model anytime soon after they’re released anyways.

I don’t live in Mississippi.

Also, Louisiana is the 2nd poorest.

Silly poor people and their assumptions

Whole bunch of drunk drivers in this thread

I like to ride the dirt roads and have beers with the windows down and music playing. It’s relaxing

I don’t get on the blacktop or highway anymore

My next and last car will be a 55 Chevy. I’m going to drive exactly what I want. If a new car is going to cost me 50k anyway, might as well dump 50k into a car that’s awesome instead of one that looks like an angry toaster.

I’m at this point once I pay off my new truck. I’ll keep it for long trips and I want to buy a fully restored 67 GTO convertible

If you had ever been almost killed by drunk drivers you wouldn't think this is a bad idea.

I cant imagine this to be honest.

It's a bad idea. Giving government any additional power is a bad idea. Why can't we regulate speed too? Have you ever been almost killed by a speeding driver? I have.
