He wasn't "focusing" on it. Hardly being "as selfish as he can possibly be".

Damn!!

I know my dog would have survived if we left him. small 16 lbs dog that loves water and rain. Lightening and thunder goes unnoticeable to him.

Not a pissy comment. Our community in the Greater Baton Rouge area has been devastated if you haven't noticed. Focusing on household task of painting, while others need basic necessities and help from others just to begin to put their entire lives together again is as selfish as you can possibly be.

Hey jackass, all he said was that they were open and he got paint. Maybe his house flooded too and he is trying to be prepared. Maybe he was going to drop off some paint at shelters for supplies. Or shite maybe he just simply needed paint. But hey, you are sure doing a bunch while playing on TD.

Anyone know if there are sites where people list contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc.... All things needed to rebuild a house in the Baton Rouge area?

I know you can search Angie's list or whatever but I remember after Katrina there being sites dedicated to local people giving recommendations and sharing information on the demo and rebuild crews, as well as local crews being able to post their information?

yea im not sure what Albert's problem is.

A poster asked a question. I happen to go to lowes for paint. I have a baby room that needs to get done. I thought it would be best to get it done Saturday, so I can lend a helping hand to others after the water cleared.

Hey, can you help create her an Amazon wish list of items she needs? I'd love to help out.

Seems like you need to take a break. He wasn't focusing on painting. Someone asked if Lowes flooded, and he gave them an answer with his first hand account of going there.

Now carry on with the topic at hand.

Does this list have to be created on my account or something? Just checking, because I just got a go phone, since my other phone got water damage, and I'm in the process of downloading apps, and I never done a wish list on amazon before.

Anyone have a link to a good topographic map of EBR? Contour lines down to 5' or less intervals would be great.

Dad's house by the Mobil took on about 5 feet of water. He said power wasn't coming back on until Saturday? I'm assuming its the same grid. We will be there all weekend if y'all need some help with demolition.

It can be on anyone's account. Just click "Create a list" and give it a name. I would just need to know the name of the list. Then you can add items super quickly by just clicking "add to list".

I don't know of a list yet but here is a building contractor that I highly recommend. P&H Builders
Justin Price (225)439-9090
John Roblin (225)572-4563

I will get my other recommendations rounded up and post them here later.

Okay, great. I'm at work right now and at the moment, may only have time to create this list in bits and pieces. I'll most likely spend more time on this in the evening. If you're looking for a username, it's Pepo.

Does anyone know if the water is receding around the Holy Rosary area in St Amant?

My nephew was out there this morning. It has gone down 2 or 3 inches.

There's about 3 pages of Pepos. You're going to have to add a city or a more specific list name like "Mom's flood wish list" or something.

Thank you so much for the info. Please let me know when your nephew says the water has receded enough to get in there. It's so hard to get info for the area

I just saw a picture and it looks like it may be more than 2 or 3 inches that is has gone down. However it still has a long way to go.

If you post an email address or phone number we can communicate more that way if you would like.
