Just left the parents on Weber city. It's up a probably a foot since 2 or 3 today. It's much further reaching toward airline now. Seemed really stagnant with no flow anymore. Hopefully this means it's leveled off now and we won't see anymore rise.

Is anybody launching a boat at 22 and airline tomorrow? I'm trying to hitch a ride.
My house isn't far from there and I'm trying to see if it actually got water in it. (As of 6:30 this morning it had about 2 to 3' of vertical climb to go)

No point in arguing about this now but if you do a bit of research you will find they have significantly more authority than just "major waterways".
Either way, my point was they are knowledgable of the systems of waterways and may have aided in getting valuable information out to the public. I have been involved in the dredging industry for many years, fwiw.

Current trends on USGS gauges.
I circled where the apparent Amite River crest is located.
It is strange the Bayou Manchac @ (1) Bluff Rd. and (2) Alligator Bayou gauges are still going up, while (3) French Settlement and (4) Port Vincent are going down.
These would indicate a significant flow going across Alligator Bayou Rd., and makes sense for the evacuations on areas adjacent to Spanish Lake.

Where's the water going to go when Spanish Lake fills up? Is Old Dutchtown subdivision near 74/I-10 in any risk (~17 ft elevation)?
