I hope there wasn't one. That's so unfourtunate when people use terms like "breach" when they mean "overtopping". A breach is representative of a failure... why the news stations dont interview the ACOE is beyond me. Unless i missed the interviews. Those guys should know the topography and the waterways better than most and could provide some valuable insight.
I am no corps sympathizer, but local drainage issues are typically not their jurisdiction unless there is some ongoing project.

Meadowbend folks...
Ya'll need to have a drink to Spanish Lake bayou. Saved houses for sure.

I think there will be a lot of people in the same boat.
Make sure before they pull anything out of the house, they take lots of pictures for documentation. Also, as y'all take stuff out, take pictures as well. Document, document, document. It will help down the line

You're just getting downvotes for caring about downvotes.

Not sure what you mean by "local drainage issues" we are not talking just about sewer and ditches here. These are major waterways and do come under their jurisdiction. Not trying to be an a$$.

Me and my FIL went back in to St Amant area today to pull some stuff from his house. Figured I'd share a few pics
Maurice Bourgeios and George Lambert intersection
Wife's grandparents off of George Lambert
More off of George Lambert
FILs body shop
More cars at the shop
We also found a giant bullmastiff going under... we tried getting him in the boat but he woukdnt let us touch him. Managed to get a rope around him and got him to dry land.

Any of the flooding in the Sorrento and Gonzalez area making its way to the I10? Would suck after Bayou Manchac camped out on it for a few days.

You didn't happen to get any shots of Edward Guidry while you where back there, did you?
ETA: Never mind, you were on the other side of Stringer Bridge Rd.
