What a schmuck

I disagree. More people are listening right now than will ever be.

His complaint seems legit to me. He says he warned DOTD that the 6' median/dam would create flooding. The government can be damn arrogant, and need to be held accountable in the midst of SHF.

I'd sure be pissed if I thought DOTD created a dam that caused my house to be under water.

I've tried to talk common sense to DOTD. It's not an easy discussion.

No rise yet but stalled. Anyone have eyes on it?

Been checking it by Duplessis Primary a couple times a day. It's lower than it has been since before this all started.

Goudine at Hwy 74 look like no rise now. Just got a text from someone close.

Things will certainly change after this flood, just like they did after the flood in '83. Unlike with Katrina, though, most people will still have their job. The Hurricane shut people out for months, and many jobs just disappeared. There was little point in coming back for so many people.

The main employment drivers here still exist, and are operating today (unlike, say, the universities in New Orleans that had to furlough or lay off staff).

If water comes up like it did the other day then you can def expect Villa to flood but the houses to be fine. I rode through in my truck and felt uneasy after making the decision

Those in Highlands and Dutchtown Villas in Dtown, you would hear of flooding in neighborhoods between Bluff and your homes before you would be taking on water. You are at low risk of flooding that far in.

I've heard that now north La is becoming at risk of flooding again. Any confirmed reports of that?

Sounds like a question the parish president should be answering (sarcasm NOT directed at you).
