Ascension Parish update?
This. When does the threat of backwater flooding expire for Ascension? I'm basically at the mouth of Grand Gaidine Bayou and the level has receded and the gauge has in dropping, but I'm still on edge. When is the threat over?

I waded through stomach deep water on Saturday and I couldn't believe the fire ant bites. Also pulled 4 ticks off of me. Was in the water about a total of 10 minutes.

Any word on muddy creek by la 42. My buddy said, the water has held at his back door all day

I didn't spend any time on 42 except for going to the Walmart to pick people up and bring them into Gonzales.
people getting out of boats crying because they had no where to go and shite.

Similar situation been helping people sandbag and move Cars and such. I've got a case of what seems to be the trench foot.

Ok, I live in Fairbanks. Took some people to Daniel Guidry when I went to my house. Water was high enough to drive the boat with a go devil

When I finally left Henry road near 42 early afternoon the water from muddy creek was still rising and flowing backwards. Not coming up super fast, but definitely coming up.

I'm interested in the south west side (of the interstate) ...Burnside... but I know there are more people on the east side and that area will be hit harder.

Across from Jack-in-the-box and that crappy jambalaya place? All is fine in there. I have a buddy that has been driving between there and St. Gabriel all day

Man people are petty to be down voting me for asking about a loved ones neighborhood......
There have been some great info shared and it shows why south Louisiana will bounce back. It's cliche but it's the people that make Louisiana great.
