So sorry to hear that. I to live in an area in Baton Rouge that has never flooded, and I'm getting a little nervous as my backyard is half yard and half swimming pool. Luckily my property slopes away from my home, but it's still an uncomfortable feeling

Jeez. We need a break. I've been on the gulf Coast all my life, and I can't remember such sustained moderate rainfall.

Any burst of good convection would be like flash flood central here.
