Anybody have any word on Ballpark Road in Walker (near the animal shelter)? My SIL evacuated yesterday morning with water at her doorstep. With AT&T being down, she is unable to get in touch with people who were staying.

Need some serious advice:

I am currently out of town and have pets borded at Highland Animal Hospital. It's on the downhill side of highland Rd near kenilworth. I can't get in touch with their personnel at this time. Do I need to get someone to pick up my pets immediately?

I heard on the scanner last night that at that time the only shelter accepting pets is McKinley Middle. Might be more now.

I would hope they have some type of evacuation policy in place for pets that are currently boarded.

What kind of dogs? I may be able to help.

If Bayou Fountain overflows, how rar south would its flooding reach? Wouldn't everything between Highland and the Miss. River essentially be a woup bowl of water? Or would Burbank keep all the water between Highland and Burbank?

Celtic studios has opened one of their sound stages as a shelter and WAFB reported they are accepting pets. If you go and can bring at least some of your own supplies that is better because they just opened the building. I don't know that it's an "official" shelter and is not supplied at the moment.

Just walked to Dawson's creek and took this pic

That is I-10 overpass above. It is flowing the correct direction, not fast, but it is flowing.
