That's Highland/Jefferson right? I think that's Ward Creek. You are saying it's backflowing now?

Edit: That's Claycut...which TD posters have reported as backflowing and police scanners confirm flood events that correspond to that. It's definitely backflowing now, so i'd get out.

Not kidding. Get out.

If they need to, they are welcome here. IDK if he still has my number.

Thank you. If I knew they would need it, I'd be there now to get them. Looking at the flood maps, i plugged in their address, and they were not in the area showing as getting flooded.

I think I'm safe, and have plenty of room. But I will let him know you offered for sure.

Doesn't pendarvis flood relatively easy? Where was the water flowing from?

Flowing West to East....all the water that overtook Juban, I'm assuming.

We had water receding up until about 5pm

I think you're in the best spot, Festus. It's getting worse on the side near Geroge Oneal

Yikes let me know unless it's been answered already. It was taking in water earlier around 6:30pm.

That's Claycut watershed. We know it's backflowing.

You should warn your buddy.

GEAUXmedic, my parents live South of 22 off kraft rd. They live pretty high up but ponchatoula creek runs directly behind them. The creek runs into natalbany river, at the moment the creek is backing up into my neighborhood (whitmar acres) North of selu. The water is rising noticeably in the last few hours. I was hoping someone could find a crest or river gauge for the Natalbany river. Thanks fellas for all the awesome info

Is there flooding near the ponchy creek by your parents?

Wouldn't shock me if in the morning that entire street is underwater. May not reach the houses but its going to be crazy what people wake up to.

Yeah. Time to get out IMO. It's going to get a lot worse and it will come close to those houses. Maybe even inside of them.

Just making sure, but does any of this flooding or backing up effect midcity BR? I live near the canal that runs through on Claycut Rd. Thanks

Jones Creek at Old Hammond has not moved in two hours, is this leaning towards the crest?
