Just evacuated from Three Lakes in Walker....boat ride up to Winn Dixie.

Downtown Walker (447) is dry but Pendarvis at McDonald's and headed WNW towards Florida Blvd is all under water & still rising.

Passed 4 cars on Pendarvis submerged to roof.

anyway the water goes past airline and I12?

Possible it may impact the church at that corner since Weiner Creek runs right into that area. I doubt I-12 floods at that point though.

I'm more concerned about my boys. They are near Sherwood and on Harrell's Ferry. Right next to interstate. Flood maps show they should be good, but shows Camelot area flooding, which is not too far from them.

If they need to, they are welcome here. IDK if he still has my number.

No way to know if they'd "need to" until it is too late, unfortunately.

You may want to start packing some valuables into the attic then. It's only just now starting to flow backwards. it will fill up soon and probably stay up throughout Sunday and early Monday.

This water is going to rise all over the city drainage ways worse than earlier today IMO.

GEAUXmedic, my parents live South of 22 off kraft rd. They live pretty high up but ponchatoula creek runs directly behind them. The creek runs into natalbany river, at the moment the creek is backing up into my neighborhood (whitmar acres) North of selu. The water is rising noticeably in the last few hours. I was hoping someone could find a crest or river gauge for the Natalbany river. Thanks fellas for all the awesome info

I live on the other side of Tara and housing my family that lives near White Oak Landing, just want to be prepared if everyone needs to load up again. My street backs into a creek which turns into Wards around Tara.

A buddy lives on highland club in highland club estates and just told me that water is rising and about 15 yards from his driveway.

I told him he needs to get his wife and two kids and leave but his wife wants to stay.

I don't know that area that well, will they be okay?

TIA

Aspercel - I would get out now. Find a hotel if need be.

Doesn't pendarvis flood relatively easy? Where was the water flowing from?

I don't think there's any doubt you are right. They've been correct at predicting when/where the crests occur so far. It's been as bad as they say.

I have no idea why local media have either downplayed or have not covered the back flow problem vigorously though.

Be safe Aspy!

I'm on like my 3rd glass of wine. Once again...I'm very grateful to TD for giving me information. I feel sick to my stomach for my family and for all my friends on fb posting about their homes being flooded.
