BR & Surrounding areas 10-15" of rain expected through the middle of next week The gage may have a vertical datum it is referencing to (NAVD88 maybe). See if the flood map has the same vertical datum to be sure. Many times river gages do not go by a specific datum but if they do, it should be specified.
Thank you! The base elevation that the flood map gives is NAVD88. And according to the Metadata on the gauges that have been linked, NAVD88 data isn't availble for those gauges.

Woodland Ridge is starting to get water on the Blvd by Episcopal and the tennis courts and back parking lots at EHS are covered.
There is extensive flooding the back way out of WR that goes to the Oaks of Kingsbridge exit....power is out back there as well...Newcastle area. Not sure about Camelot...

Okay, I am looking at these maps and I'm a little worried about my sister and her family. They are zone X but are, to me, uncomfortably close to the blue. She lives in an apartment complex just north of Jefferson Highway between Stumburg Lane and Morning Dove Drive...I can't remember the name of the complex. Everything south of her is blue. I might do it anyway, but should I advise her that she should prepare a bug-out bag and be ready to move?
Man, it's close. Clay Cut Bayou @ Antioch is at 26.76' right now, and it looks like the area of that apt complex is at 29-30. The 100-year elevation there is 29, and based on the gauge at Denham cresting right around the 100-year, my guess is it will be damn close to that 29'. If the complex pad/foundation is raised at all, should be ok. But it's close.

Chadsford @ Antioch under water, per scanner.
would it be safe to assume St. Michael's has already gotten some water?

My place is in Pleasant Ridge.. the condos on Perkins along Dawson Creek. Next to Campus Federal kinda. My condo is the very last building right up at the creek.
I live in the same complex, also backed up to the creek. The highest the water has been all day is to the bottom of our patio. It has currently regressed to the point where our car port no longer has water in it
Biggest issue I've seen is a downed tree in front of the garbage dumpsters.

Any word on Woodland Ridge and Camelot?
Not specifically. I just went and put eyes on Weiner Creek and it's not too bad so hopefully these reports are overblown.

Dude you are a rockstar
This is the absolute last thing I want to be a rockstar for.
But I've been warning people early... called this backwater flooding event on Jones Creek ages ago. Claycut is next and the Jones Creek flooding will get MUCH worse.

Can you give me those rough ideas? I may be able to gauge where they are and sort of tell you kind of if they are near water.

Thank you. I am talking to her now, and strongly advising t o have a bag packed and ready to go.

SupaNov - you're obviously watching this closer than most and familiar with the maps. Are you seeing anything in significant exceedance of the 100 year levels?

Jefferson is pretty high ground there according to the elevation maps. You get into flood zones a few hundred yards away from Jefferson on each side in that area though. How close to Jefferson are you?
Not even 100 yards north of it.

I am worried that you need to add at least three feet to that 100 year number.
That would put the flood at 32!!!!

I thought the same thing about the fallen officers homes. Nick Tulliers dad posted that his other son has flooding and that he likely will too but Nick is priority.
