would it be safe to assume St. Michael's has already gotten some water?

Believe it or not, the school itself sits a few feet higher than the flood zone immediately around it. Hopefully it didn't see water.

Can you explain more about Claycut? Woman's Hospital is literally right there. I went around 7pm and took pictures of Claycut. What's going to happen there and what timeline can we expect.

As much as it sucks to be the bearer of bad news you are actually helping by giving intelligent informed predictions and may be helping to save some people some heartache or dangerous situations

Looking like only the very back at Episcopal is seeing any of the issues right now.

SupaNov - you're obviously watching this closer than most and familiar with the maps. Are you seeing anything in significant exceedance of the 100 year levels?

Its weird. Some white areas are flooding and some blue ones are not, so honestly, I don't know what to make of it... and we have yet to see the biggest part of the flood, which is going on right now.

This is the Claycut gauge closet to the Amite. It should start flooding very soon.

Flooding will happen around claycut bayou. We can't quite be sure what will happen to women's since it is new construction. The timeline is near impossible to guess at this point.

If you can get this map to work for you....check your elevation against the nearest tributary river gauge.

Forecasted crest of Amite @ Manchac Point exceeds by 1.5'.

That's on Jones.

The Amite is running up Jones and spilling into the whole area.

That corner is low. Homes there are high off the street level. If those homes go under it would be unreal.

I'd be cautious. The back flow from Amite river will impact the Dawson Creek area again in a few hours.

Chadsford is closed and underwater between Kennesaw and Antioch where that drainage ditch runs.

The difficulty with Clay Cut is there's not a gauge on the Amite at the confluence with Clay Cut. So it's tough to get a gauge (intended) on what that backwater elevation will be since there's no crest elevation there from the Amite.
