BR had a ton of great acts come through from the fifties to the eighties

all of the shows are free on a phone app called "re-listen".
many of the shows offer multiple sources as well as betty boards if available.

I don't understand why there are no more concerts at the PMAC, it was quite the venue in the day

a portion of the PMAC show in 77 was released on road trips 1.2
it's excellent
here's a good article that tells some of the story of the New Orleans pop festival in 1969

Are you referring to the "Deadhead Archives" app?

I saw Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd in the PMAC. Think about that.
I saw them as well. I think it was the promoters at the time because Baton Rouge was on the circuit for everyone then it slowed towards the mid 80's.
I saw many multiple times. Yes in the Round, Eagles, Styx, Foreighner, Foghat, Nazareth, Rush, Zeppelin, Stones, REM, Pink Floyd, Kansas, Boston, Blue Oyster Cult, Steely Dan, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Doobie Brothers, ELP, Allman Brothers, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, ZZTop, Queen, V an Haley, Supertramp, Thin Litzy, ELO, The Kinks, Moody Blues, Steve Miller, Genesis, Jackson Brown, Uriah Heep.
I'll think of a few more.

I always heard that half the audience had to be woken up to leave.

I saw them in 93 or 94 just to check the box. Wasn't for me.

It amazes me the weed we smoked in the Assembly Center (now the PMAC) or the Centroplex (now the Raising Canes River Center) and no one said a word. The whole place was full of pot smoke and the next day the Tigers would play a ball game.

I remember U2 playing here in the late 80s-early 90s. I wanted to go so bad, but couldn't for whatever reason.
