I still have cookies from 2 seasons ago in my freezer. I need to see if there’s something I can make from them at this point.

Oreo sells mint thins and they taste exactly like thin mints. No need to donate money to progressives.

It's a hard sell when I can walk past them and buy better cookies for less money in the store.
Isn’t this supposed to be a fundraiser of sorts? The point is donating to the Girl Scouts. It’s not to get the best cookies in the area for the cheapest price.
It’s like telling a kid I can buy a snickers cheaper so get out with your World Finest Chocolate and your quest to put up new goals at the park.

We can't let the libs destroy our time-honored tradition of using free child labor to sell baked goods.

The shite stains that call themselves the leaders of the Girl Scouts made it political a long time ago.
This is the first year we have not bought Girl Scout cookies in many many years. We walked by them and simply said,"no thank you" when asked.

I shutdown my wife's order after the GSA released that pathetic BLM statement. frick those cookies.

Aren't they like $5 per box and less cookies now? Doesn't help Keebler is selling them year around, too.
I would always pay the extra to help the Girl Scout local chapter raise money.
My daughter finally started Girls scouts. She got 1 year until Covid. The chapter has been disbanded. It’s sad. Community based organizations are dying out.

Sell those boxes to our HEB’s and they would be gone in 48 hours

A lot of groups are offering buy-outs now. Councils don't like it because they don't get their cut, but Scouting families are tired of hawking expensive shite.
For instance, instead of being required to sell $350 worth of product, a family can write a check for $100, which is about what the group would get.
My kids are able to hit their quota by walking our neighborhood and the one behind us, it takes one day to do it. It's not hard, but most people don't want to do it anymore.

I understand not wanting to support the national organization. National organizations frick up everything in general. But if you dont want to buy girl scout cookies or cub/boy scout popcorn, give the kids a cash donation. 100% of that will be used by the local group.

Sure. If you felt driven to contribute to said organization, you could overlook the inferior quality of their product. However, they also need money from people who couldn't care less about the Girl Scouts.

All these once beloved programs that have been taken over by progs need to be completely defunded, abandoned and bankrupted.
Then maybe new organizations closer to the original missions can be founded and take their place.
Why do you need to kill one program to start another? If people want to start a new movement, let it start today.
By the way, there are a number of alternatives to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, but they all are very small. So clearly, not any better.

What's funny is this. People say the GSUSA is this big ole liberal organization. Yet, they only want girls. And they lost their minds when the Boy Scouts started letting in girls.

I've seen some private schools go to this model as well.

Cub Scouts is very appealing to a lot of families with girls.
- The girls are often siblings, and are at campouts and meetings anyway.
- One less organization to deal with
- BSA has a shiat ton of resources and amazing properties to utilize.
- Girl Scouts are at the whim of the leader. If they love the outdoors, you'll get more outdoor activities. If they love crafts, you'll do more crafts. Cub Scouts is more centralized, the experience is generic. Turns out a lot of girls like to go camping and shoot BB guns, instead of learning to knit.
Girl Scouts should have looked for a way to align. The missions aren't really any different, but with numbers dwindling, why compete over a scarce resource?
