Snuff =/= chewing tobacco.

It can, as evidenced by by grandmother slathering it all over me, help wasp stings if mixed with water to form a paste.

I found some dry snuff and plug tobacco in backwoods Pickens or Oconee counties, SC.

The insufflated stuff is surprisingly good. Just gives you a runny nose.

Ok I want to comment on this and I feel like can offer wisdom. I have dipped my whole adult life (not proud of this)I have never shot one up the nostril and I can not imagine the feeling inside my screwed up sinuses There would be permanent damage.
For those the know. Loose is not the way to go but I thought about it in this instance and it seems the only way to go or you risk a clog. Would love to see the technique for getting that stuff out,

My grandma dipped snuff, not in public, my whole life. She always said most people put it in their nose but I could never imagine that.

Did that that once on accident. Was going to dip it like regular moist snuff, made the mistake of breathing when I put it in …Garret snuff ain’t no joke lol.

F that !!
I tried that sniffing tobacco snuff back in 1983 and all it did was cause a sneezing fit. Never had any use for it since.

My Aunt Mildred use to dip Tops Snuff…

(For the young bucks, this is what I’m talking about)

I remember she always carried around an old Astor coffee can with some paper towels in it. When she spit, I thought it looked like she had diarrhea of the mouth. I hated it when she’d leave my mom would make me go “get some sugar from your Aunt Mildred”.

Apparently it’s not necessarily that bad for you compared to tobacco smoke.

I wonder what that would do to my sinuses though. Maybe clear things out, or hospitalize me.

I remember granny wanting to kiss my cheek with the snuff in her mouth. She also had about 20 thousand napkins with her. She dipped Bruton Sweet Snuff.

I mean she was born in 1894. She was old school.
