This is a terrible idea that Billy Nungesser is talking about. Screw Nola. Why should the taxpayers of the state bail their arse out again. That toilet bowl can flush away. Even the new mayor doesn’t like the idea.

Would probably be cheaper than paying all the OT for the troopers

So state taxpayers can foot the bill for even more New Orleans stuff?

Last I heard this rumor floating it was so they could implement gun free zones, stop and frisk policies, ID requirements etc... primarily

The suggestion should infuriate any state taxpayer that doesn’t depend on local tourist spending in the French Quarter.

The state can’t even fix I-10, but now they have to pay to keep the FQ clean?

If part of the revenues of the venues were used as revenue to the state because its a public park it'd probably make money for the state. With that said, I'm against it.

Ridiculous.

If FQ businesses want cleaner streets and more cops in their neighborhood, they should tax themselves to pay for it. Suburban HOAs do that all the time and they don’t have tourism dollars to tap into.

How would you make an active part of a city a state park?

Already is. All the animals sleep during the day and hunt at night.

Two policies that are deeply rooted in achieving nothing.

I'll change my vote to likely to happen.

I would be ok making the FQ a state park as long as they clean the place up. It can only have nice bars, restaurants, and shops.

Get rid of the strip bars and other shite hole places.
