No it doesn’t. All it does is transfer responsibility for those troopers to state taxpayers.
Nothing would be accomplished except that New Orleans politicians will have more local tax revenue to steal and state taxpayers would have to cover more basic services for New Orleans.

Cleaning that area up what hurt the city more than help, imo.
If y’all don’t know already a huge draw to the city is people kind of know they can get away with more bullshite there than almost anywhere else in the country.

So just like 6th Street in Austin, Broadway in Nashville, etc, none of which are as disgusting or crime ridden as the FQ. Hell, Beal Street in Memphis isn't as bad.
