So you are proposing no public University in the states third largest city - Shreveport? For that matter, the only public university north of I-10 is La Tech and nearby Grambing.

Wasted billions over the past 30 years with the multitude of university systems all for political patronage and graft. LA will continue to compete with MS for 50th in the national rankings.

Easy for all you "big" LSU supporters to crap on smaller things. I am a huge LSU man my damn self but funny how on here all of the know every damn things come up with ideas to cut everyone but themselves. Screw you. Down vote away.
Goes back to my rant about how all of you condemn every other part of the state NOT being LSU fans. Y'all are wrong again. I would bet good money that a larger percentage of LSU stars over the course of history have come from places other than Baton Rouge.
Y'all act like nowhere else exists but your little corner of the world.
Some of the kids going to these other colleges and universities couldn't afford to attend LSU and every inventor, doctor, pharmacist, war hero, or garbage man did not go to LSU.
