Isn't the great ice storm of 21 supposed to hit Nola? Prolly don't want anyone ice fishing on the river or trying out their hand drunk ice skating.

It literally was not. Nyx was on February 19, 2020.

I’m aware, but the words “literally one year ago today” mean February 10, 2020.

Everywhere else it is February 10th.

In New Orleans, it is Nyx Wednesday.

Literally 1 year ago.

All the other voters wonder why things in New Orleans always seem to be getting worse, but continue to vote the same every cycle.

Leave N.O. and your imaginary world will truly exist. You have to move.

I have to agree 100%.

Born and raised in NOLA but the time came where I had to decide, and I moved. I even moved beyond the Louisiana state line.

I used to miss it, and I used to want to move back but visiting was always a great happy medium.

But I know I'll never live in that city or state ever again, and even more so because of that governor and that mayor. I don't even have a desire to visit anymore, to the point that if I never spend another dime in Louisiana or New Orleans, I'm okay.

Sorry for you people who decided to trade sane taxation, strong leadership, and decent social infrastructure for a "lifestyle", but like they like to say on the O-T, you really wanna call that living?

You spend enough time away and you start to love doing other things. Nola will never be what it once was. Its over.

you might as well enjoy the lifestyle if you’re one person and powerless to really change it

Not sure how long ago, vehicles were allowed.

I think they stopped allowing vehicles in 2013 or 2014. The only way I know this is they were allowed when I moved to Algiers in Jan of 2013, but were disallowed pretty shortly after I moved. If I remember it correctly, the shut down coincided with the ferry that can haul vehicles breaking down.

But it's really not. That's like saying literally a year ago this past Sunday the Chiefs won Superbowl 54 because it was Superbowl Sunday. It may have been Superbowl Sunday, but that game was played on February 2, 2020, not February 7th...which would have been "literally" a year ago.
