I thought this had something to do with George Floyd.

We’re in MTG’s old district. Not to worry.

My phone is on Rome.

Won’t be (re)built in a day.

This a hot topic.

It’s be ironic if they had temporary court at the local firehouse.

The old courthouse in Lawrenceville GA is also burning right now

The Lawrenceville one already burned in the late 1800's and burned up all the county records. That's why you can't do property deed searches back to the land grant days in Gwinnett County.

Not near there. At there, walking out the door during his obscenity trial. [Lawrenceville, not Rome which is the subject of OP. ]

Out of state morons don't realize this was MTG's district and Rome GA is blood red MAGA country.

If this were in Fulton County Election Office, or Dekalb or Gwinnett, or even Cobb counties, this would be conspiracy theory worthy.

Not in Floyd county.

Whatever gets built in place of it will look like shite in comparison.

Any chance enough of the structure will be still in place that would allow them to restore it instead of having to tear it down?

Damn. My ex-wife is from Rome, GA. I’ve been there dozens of times and been in that courthouse. What a shame.

I have a couple of friends from Rome, 2 brothers, and when i say their southern accent is thick, ive spent 90% of my life in Arkansas and northern La and i have friends/acquaintances from all over the south. None of them comes close. And they werent putting it on, i met them when i was 7 and saw them almost yearly for 20 years. It never waivered. Good friends when i was young but always got me in trouble.
