Broome became mayor and she hammered the cops and emboldened the bad guys. The BRAVE program which had been credited with reducing crime was discarded. Almost four years later it appears we have open warfare in the black neighborhoods and in the streets as gangs fight each other.
Broome is proud of her record. What does that say about her judgment?
It’s time to throw her out.

10 people shot, I bet not one was shot by a legally purchased or possessed weapon. Not ONE...

I spent a lot of time with my grandparents growing up because my parents were divorced and my dad worked a lot.

They lived off of Blackwater Road in Central/Pride so Baker was the closest town to them. It was nothing like it is now. Neither was Plank Road in the 80s.

this is why BLM will never gain my support. Clean your own dirty laundry.

I don't understand why people keep saying this when they are also part of the community as well. Why can't people, as a whole, step up and say enough is enough as a community, whether you are black or white, whether you live directly where the shootings happened or not, and try to come together to find solutions to minimize the violence. If people would come together instead of saying "clean your dirty laundry" I believe we can make an impact. But since it's not directly impacting your circle or where you live, people don't give a frick. Just think of the good that could be done if people would change that mindset and contribute towards finding solutions instead of pointing blame and walking away.

My mom grew up in Brownsfields and can still tell you what everything up and down Plank Rd. used to be back in the day.

But we still need to take gun rights away from the 95% of gun owners who do everything the right way

On Monday, there were at least five separate shootings that left ten people injured,

The number I care about the most is how many were killed. 10 shot, 10 killed. That’s a good day in eliminating the problem. 10 shot and 1 killed. That’s a bad day.

Eventually, these roaches will kill themselves off. We just need to give them the ammo to speed it up.

Plank was still a pretty bustling area of town when I was younger. In middle school, I was in a summer bowling league at Metro Bowl on the corner of Plank and Airline for a few years.
