Well to be honest he has the body of a 40 year old with the mind of an adolescent

It’s part of his condition

is it paroxetine?

I'm guessing not. Unless he has pretty severe anxiety to go along with the depression.

The reality is, depression is an evil disease. The meds get you to a point that you think I am fine, I don’t need the meds. And the cycle begins; get off the meds & depression returns. It’s just hard to accept that ya gotta stay on the drugs for the rest of your life to maintain any stability.

I travelled this journey with the mother of my children. The same cycle continues to repeat 35 years down the road, and she is a medical professional. We all make our own decisions, but imo, accept the reality. Take the meds, get on with your life with as little complications as possible.

Good luck son.

I take daily anti-depessants. I forgot to get my Rx refilled before Thanksgiving once and I was out of pharmacy refills.

Worst 4 days of my recent memory. Nightmares and sweating every time I’d sleep, and too dizzy to want to keep my eyes open.

I took Paxil when I was younger and could orgasm without ejaculating. Now, I don’t do either because I’m married

I was on lexapro and lamictal at one point and if I missed a day or two I was lost. Not depressed but cloudy and found it hard to think.

Had to taper off over multiple weeks but have been successfully off for years now!

Okay, but be careful with those meds and stop missing doses! Get one of those 7-day pill reminder cases.

I do and I got my monthly refill and forgot to put them in.. Last night I couldn't sleep. I was on edge.. I felt like I was outside my body... Then this morning I realized I hadn't taken it for the past 2 days.

I ceased Lexapro cold turkey once and got brain zaps for a couple of days.
