It’s a great scientific achievement but what is the goal? Have them in a zoo? Breeding population?
I’m sure a healthy population of 7 foot long wolves in the Rocky Mountain range would be great for the current ecosystem.

Can "Wolf of Peace" attacks at the dog park be far behind?

Bringing back a natural predator first is bad news. You would figure they would bring back natural prey first. If the prey goes unchecked, then bring back the predator.

I beg of you, don't murder me.

Might as well make it interesting and turn the dire fellow loose on some boujee poodles.

It couldn't hurt given the current situation we're faced with here. I voted against wolf reintroduction last year, but you know what? Bring on the dire wolves, I'm ready.

Shoot (a bigger caliber weapon)
Shovel (a bigger hole)
Shut up (again)

Could you imagine someone trying to break into your home and having a fricking direwolf come around the corner to protect the house?

We're gonna need to make a lot more of these extinct animals to help us fight the robots in a few years.

Just wait until the dire wolf puppy mills get to cranking out dire wolf/pit bull mixes. We're going to have to nuke every trailer park.

This seems like an incredibly bad idea.
Why?

A seven-foot-long apex predator. 600 pounds of sin.
What could possibly go wrong?
ETA: as usual to didn’t read all of the posts before replying w a “clever” lyric. Haha.

I think Robert and Jerry told us exactly what can go wrong. Just, whatever you do, don't play cards with it.
